Been around for year and years and years...I use to call it being an employed contractor tho...Basically (if we are talking about the same thing) an employed contractor uses his own tools while using a company truck/gas and is paid piece work...In for work at a certain time every morning...Taxes taken out of your check...But no overtime and you are still in control how much your check will be since it is piece work...
I honestly didn't think it was too bad to be honest and neither did the guys I worked with...Still take home a grand a week and taxes already taken care of...Truck breaks down another is provided for you...You get the gravy work vs. the full fledged contractor that got the leftovers...All in all it worked out well...at least for me it did...
