Re: 250,000 a couple is rich?

Do you notice the tactic that they are using with this bill? It is the same as the stimulus plan, we have to pass this right now, don't need to read it. They are trying to ram through a proposal that will drastically change the way everything in this country operates, the tentacles on this bill are huge. And the more time in the light the harder it becomes to stomach and opposition grows.

Yesterday, the director of the Congressional Budget Office, an independant aduiting group that puts numbers to every congressional spending and taxing bill, point blank shot down Obama's assertion that this plan will lower medical costs. And Nancy and Harry jumped all over them for it saying they are not helping and should remain quiet.

And add this to the mix:

Early Friday, a key committee, House Ways and Means, voted to approve tax provisions of the House of Representatives version of the bill, which would impose $544 billion in new taxes over the next decade on families making more than $350,000 a year. Two other House committees worked on separate parts of a bill that would cost roughly $1.5 trillion.

And the shear size of it, 544,000,000,000.00. How do you take 544 billion in investment and spending money out of the economy and not hurt or change it for the worse? Common sense logic tells you that you can't. That money is being used today. Millionaires buy big expensive things built by the average person. Or investing in new busnesses. If they lose that money to a tax, you can't possibly believe it will not believe it will not alter their spending and hurt EVERYONE, not just the millionaire. For me, FREE healthcare is way too expensive
