If it's piece rate, it shouldn't matter whether it's your fist job, or 10,000th. They should pay the same. You get paid to do the job. Experience makes you faster, and therefore able to do more work in the same amount of time, for more money on daily/weekly basis.
Some piecework paying contractors never have figured that one out though.
