I noticed that many new parts on equipment (OEM) stuff is poorly made and breaks soon. The replacement part is properly engineered and well made but expensive. The sales guys say they improved the part after field experience. The cost of the replacement part can be written off that year. If you, as your own boss, fix or make a replacement part you can write off the materials. If you have an employee do it you will be back where you started with the over the counter part after shipping.
They will get you,
Joe
