I have no experience with cable. Satellite yes you can charge for extra cable, you can charge for a pole mount even though thats going away with the 5 LNB dish. And you can charge for a wall fish. Normally you charge around 65-85 per hour for custom. you have to set the dish run 100 ft of cable for free, setup the recievers call and activate. Don't forget the phone lines. To me satellite is like cable and phone work put together. I know theres quite a few techs that say forget the phone lines but it is part of the job as well.
If I were to get into satellite I would get involved in VSAT. A little harder to find the signal but you only have to goto one location.
