Okay guys, just an idea but lets see what all of think. I am not an attorney nor am I the sharpest marble in the bag. Here's what I am thinking. Anyone that has done work for DirecTV or one of thier so called AFS companies or contractors and did not get paid should some how send an email to the higher ups at DTV....someone on here has to be able to get a phone number or email address of someone at DTV. Or...at least contact the B.B.B. or the State Attorney Generals Office. I'm thinking if there are enough complaints filed to DTV or the Attorney Generals Office that it might result in some bad publicity or maybe some action. These companies just change names and go about hiring new guys to burn again. I have contacted the local TV stations in my area and I am sure that they do not want to take any type of action due to the possiblity of lost revenue from DirecTV advertising and as we all know a union is out of the question. I know that as I have spoken in debth with a professor at the University of Nebraska that teaches labor law. he has read some of the contracts I presented him and has told me they would never stand up....at least in the state of Nebraska and the states that the contracts were written in. Now...I know we all have financial resposibilies...but if you are looking for work or another company wants you to work for them and the pay is 4 weeks out then you know they are banking on DTV to pay them so they can pay you....they have no capital. And if you do quit hey will hold your pay for ex amount of days and you know as well as I do they will not pay you. So......if you are talking to or looking for another contracting job....ask...NO...DEMAND that the company you are talking to can provide you with a surety bond. Chances are they have no idea what that is and if they do...they will tell you no, they cannot.
Thoughts and comments are very much welcome. You may send the to me at (-REDACTED-) "> (-REDACTED-)
PLEASE include END TO NO-PAY in the subject line.
Thanks and wish he best to all of us.
