Been in the business too long and it only gets worse. What you guys might not be realizing is that it starts at the top. DirecTV and Dish do not have any risk involved in their businesss. If something goes wrong they charge someone back i.e/ Retailer, HSP, Contractor whoever it may be, even the customer should they terminate their contract and it all goes back to the installer. As they say, the installer is the face of the company. Last time I did some contracting work the rates were $70/20 now I see them being advertised at $70/15 and if non-responder rates are too high you get charged back $5.00 a reciever. As one guy I replied to on here said, I believe he was with TheaterXperts in Georgia, looking for installers in Michigan and Wisconsin...that's another rant, told me, what is $5.00? when he was a tech and the work was slow $5.00 did'nt matter.
