Is that skimming through the civil rights movement the one where they give a race a month? Is that not racist? Are you suggesting that kids should only learn about black history? And yes public schools do not tell children what they should be learning as far as history is concerned but history had all races in it. So why does one race get a whole month of it? Are we to believe that no where else in the school year did we learn about blacks along with other races in history? What about the hispanics? Or the Irish that came here? Or the Italians? How about the chinese who helped build this country? Where did I learn that? Oh yea....school. But they didn't get a month for themselves. And when I learn about history no where did I ever see the words "white history". Why? Because it would be racist. I would make me feel uncomfortable if they did. Just as it does when they teach "black history". Because it is racist and divisive.
