If you read my post you would see that I said (By now they can afford to bring 5 more relatives to live with them.) Did you think they just sent smoke signals? I know it takes atleast $1000 a head to bring a mexican over here via coyote. As far as paying taxes, thats where I also posted (That doesn't go to say that we should open up our borders but it definately doesn't say to close them and shoot to kill anyone tryin to come over. What about the Chinese, Japanese, Iraqi's, Pakistani's, Europeans, Africans, Russians, etc that come over with no problem and get grants to start their oun convenient store in the low income neighborhoods. The US's policies are screwed up and have been since they were written.) I see you're a slow one on the little yellow bus. Between the lines, without saying, seems to be a hard one for you. By knowing america you would know that these races come over and are given citizenship with no problem. where do you think their money goes. Back to their country. And as far as paying taxes the employer usually eats them up as writeoffs because he hired them illegally. They also pay taxes by paying utility bills and buying groceries and gas, etc. I was raised around them as well as I live an hour away from the Texas Valley.
A quick story. A difference between your grandfather and my dad. When growing up we lived next to our mexican Landlord who house mexicans that got off the train that was across the street from my house. My dad speaks fluent spanish and befriended the mexicans that lived with our landlord. He would help any of them who wanted to become legal citizens. And plenty of them did want to become citizens.
I know Mexicans. Went to school with a few that were lucky enough to be enrolled without final citizenship. Befriended them as if they were born here.
As far as sending money back to their families, What would you do if you had to go work out of country to make a living but couldn't or didn't want to move your family with you. You would send them money to make sure they are doing just as good as you. I don't knock a man trying to make his families life comfortable. Also, have you seen the ratio of pesos to the dollar. If they can send $1000 back figure out how many more meals their family won't miss or how many clothes their family can buy to stop wearing the same ones.
Be for real. People like your grandfather are the one who started this mess and now you want to talk down on them. Seems like you're venting your issues toward the wrong people. Be mad at those like your grandfather for being greedy and not wanting to pay his fellow americans to do the work for him.
One last note. If I were to run for President You would be feeling the same way cause of my race.
