Re: trouble with eastern arc

This is how I peak them, I put my jumper om the third port and pan around till I lock on the 61.5,
only after locking on to the 61, will my bird dog lock on the 72. If it lock's on to the 72 first it is wrong.  I have never been able to get it to lock on thew 77.
But anyway after I lock on the 61 I tighten the bolts down and switch the bird dog to the 72 and fine tune it on the 72.
Dish network shares info between satellites, which is why the bird dog will mis identify the satellites sometimes.
When you say you BD is on 80 is that 80% what does it read in decibels?
seriously though it sounds like the mast is not level or the settings are wrong.
I saw guys who were real pros get stumped by this dish when it first hit last year (we are in a test market)
A dish 500 is more forgiving, the .4 is kind of weak signal wise anyway.
BD, are ok meter's but they are far from fool proof.
