Some time back I tried to talk to my father in-law (skip) about the Lord and the Bible. His response was you take what you want or need and leave the rest. I saw I was not going to get any were with him. I never wanted to talk with him about anything from that time forward. You see he was going to church the same one for 15 years and still drinking. As time went on he lost all he had. His second marriage also came to an end and more children going fatherless. Then he hurt his foot and it seemed it would not heal. Big problem they had to remove it and my wife decided to let him stay with us. Oh we didn’t know what was in store. It seemed we all couldn’t get along. The problem was my wife was having some big problems over the past and present. So I talked with my pastor on how to handle this problem. Afterwards we all set down (my wife her father and I) we open up with Prayer and brought up each issue with a suggestion on how he could help us. Then we got to the big problem and that was God and his word, after showing him some big difference in his NIV and KJV he admitted he saw the truth about Gods word. He said that was the one he bought and he didn’t know the different between the two. The next day I went and bought 2 new bibles one for him and another one for my son. Skip was so happy I was astonished on how happy he was. Since then we saw him at the altar to rededicate his life. Can you imagine someone going to the alter with one leg. I want to praise the Lord for the joy and Peace the Lord has brought to this house.
This is how I know there is a God and Jesus Lives inside us.
