I think what he was trying to say was that. The company that owns the polls are not maintaining them anymore. I have climbed some polls myself and I can tell you that they are not replacing polls that need to be replaced. There was a guy in CA. That put his ladder on a poll and the poll broke. If he was on the poll he would have been hurt but the ladder saved him from falling to the ground. Not a fun ride I am sure. He had to call the power company so he could get his truck out of driveway. I live on the east coast and I don't know what the town or the utility companies are thinking but there are some polls that are leaning at a 45 degree and there not afraid that some day there going to break. How many times have you grabbed the step pegs on the poll and they pull out of the poll. More than I can count. Hope this helps.
