Multiband Installers File Class Action Suit
About 70 employees of Multiband Corp., which installs and services DIRECTV systems, have reportedly filed a class action suit challenging the company’s piece work system. According to the Worcester Business Journal, the employees claim that piece work compensation policies violate overtime wage laws. Employees of Multiband, which purchased the assets of DirecTech early this year, are in the process of negotiating their first union contract with the company.•
