Linedog..Guess it don't matter as long as you don't kill yourself..we were taught to look up to keep from sticking your head in power etc..after all you dont look at your feet when you walk..its a natural thing..you see obsticles in the pole as you climb and go around them, you always know where your feet are..and yes it is an old power thing, just the way I was taught..Like some Telco companys make you hitchike up a pole..and take your hooks off between poles..that ain't happening..But hell, each to his own..However you feel safer..
