What Should The U.S. Do To The Pirates?

The pirates have taken over a 21 american crew Mearsk ship and have taken the captain hostage.

4 pirates boarded the ship and escaped with the captain and now sit at sea in the middle of some US Navy ships and are ready to kill the captain if a 2million dollar ransom is not paid.


What should be the U.S. response?  

We send US Navy ships to the scene to do what?  Watch?  

My response would be:

Being that the life boat is enclosed this would make it a little difficult but not impossible to take the hostages out and bring the captain back to safety.


1st:  Navy Seals need to get some underwater gear.

2nd: Send 2 seals at night to swiftly scope the area at night by underwater.

3rd: If you have an all clear? Send 5 Seals by underwater and tear gas the boat.

4th: Swiftly raid the boat.

(No room for errors)

OR

I would pay the ransom and as the pirates are leaving I would take the pirates out.


My IQ is 127 and I can walk and chew gum.
