you guys are looking at all the reasons except for the main one---- MONEY
dtv wants the phone line so you can push the button and get ppv that easy
If a guy has to make a call to get a movie, he probably won't and go rent a movie.
Dishnetwork isn't that different although they are so wonderful to charge the customer when there isn't
a line hooked up.
