Bottom line is these banks are private entities. If they are solvent and do not need government TARP money, there should be no problem to repay it early. Is that not the plan as it has been told to us all? These are loans, not gifts. I do not blame any company for wanting the government out of their board room. I am still looking for the clause of the constitution that allows the federal government to own any business period.
