I was a Tech Ops manger for a major MSO as well have spent 20+ years working has a contractor. The MSO's have the right to say who does or does not work in their system, they can not tell a contract who to hire or fire but, they can control who is allowed in their system, and since most of the time the contractor only works for that MSO if you are not allowed to work in the system the contractor hasnt any choice but to let you go or not hire you. I have seen this happen with whole sub-contract companies who have been kicked out of the system.
This is nothing new been this way for ever.
