I understand the frustration with free work. I use to do installs, and service calls for Charter, and everything had to be up to specs from tap to house box on service calls and upgrades. Before I use to love service calls. They paid about $25 per call, and you fix whats wrong and be out in less than 15 min. Could do about 10+ per day. And it was always something stupid, modem not working, check signals, and upstream is at a 57 or higher, tone out line and put it on first split and be out.
Then they came with the changes, and it got crazy. I had to get out of it. Now I am a sales rep for Comcast, and love this job to death. It is real contract work and none of that employee contract bs.
