The first issue is the pad on your forward lead it needs to be a 10 pad.
The next is your standing waves I'm sure your using multiple 8 port taps all unused ports should be terminated with actual terminators this could be some of your problems
Now as far as the connectors go the newer 540 QR connectors have plastic radiation shields in them if they don't you should change them
