Re: WiMax

Thank you Davis (do I know you?).Yes, I thought about an 802.11 system, but it seems a bit cheesy- like facilitating wifi poaching on a wide scale, and would require a lot of repeaters and maintenance. You're right though, wimax deployment is a bit of an overkill for a small service area, but it needs to be able to feed the entire area from 1 access point. And yes, internet access is going to be much different very soon- which is exactly why I want to jump on this now and get a builder on board so I can sell the whole thing off before it goes obsolete!

I've got a developer ready to plant the antenna and an investor ready to pay for it, so I just need to work out the backhaul details- motorola I guess thinks I'm a crank caller, so here I am. Do you know anything about the Motorola WAP 600 and whether or not I can get one on craigslist..?

And BTW, I'm not too excited about broadcast i'net- Verizon, after all, bought 75% and they want a grand just to sign up for a cell phone...
