Yes I too have seen good from unions in the past.My father was a Teamster,I still have teeth in my head that in part were fixed thanks to the Teamsters, but in my life, I have seen a slew of smaller business's go under due to unions making unrealistic demands upon some of these small business's, Indianapolis ran a add for tech's, about 80 people showed up,ten of them may have had experience, the rest were laid off factory workers that when questioned about their previous employment and why they lost their jobs, in short almost everyone replied "Thought I had a life long job,We unionized, after a few years the Company said they could no longer afford to stay in business" now I know this is just one example, but I have experienced others. The unions today,at least in my opinion, are self serving political money machines.I know their are people out there that can site all the good things that in their minds come along with a union,as you can with your personal experiences, but I feel that I can site just as much bad. Again in my opinion!
