I also have the NC policy. The policy you have doesn't really cover you. It is the Ghost policy referred to by another person. You can use this policy to get work in other states, and as long as you let them (NC) know what is up, and don't have employees in the other state, you should be cool.
If you have employees in another state, then their Worker's Comp rules apply. Your NC insurance is void. You will need worker's comp in that state, unless in Texas, where you can waive Worker's Comp, depending upon the prime.
