Two ways..... pole o house or house to pole.
just make sure when you cross the street from house you have a large gap in traffic and if using a ladder it's already up.
Run fast, climb fast. and get that sucker pulled up fast and hard!
I run from the pole to the house.... and if there is enough room using a ladder put up from the back side so the weight from you and the ladder is twards the house (this is helpful when reworking a drop and gaining slack from the tension). Have the tag fitting and service loop done from the ground (a lot faster that way). Then you're up for no time at all and can do a cut with more access if needed.
In some cases it may help to take excess line and toss it over the back side of the strand using it's own weight to keep tension on it......hope this helps a bit....
