I do all right at 80/20 w/ custome work thrown in. Yes prices have gone down but installs are a lot less complicated today. Most houses are prewired and some already have a dish up. I got my start 24+ years ago as a catv lineman. I spliced and activated and even built a few headends. I do direct and dish cause its a stress free biz. Im home before 5pm and I can clear a grand a week after tax and expense. I also admit I like what I do. Yeah it has its moments that I wish I became a lawyer but what the hell, its a living.
