Re: FiOS to end his career ?

There will be plenty of maintenance. The majority of people working on these FTTP projects a horribly unqualified.  I worked on the Verizon FTTP project in FT. Wayne Indiana.  I have seen 8 different hubs that had an average of 70%  continuity. The rest hanging on by a thread. There are to many out there that think loading a fusion machine a pushing a button makes them a fiber splicer. I spent two years in Florida and Georgia going through one subdivision after another re-splicing and changing out every closure. Buried closures leaking so bad they had mud in them. Runs of 2000'  long with more than 6db's of loss. Believe me, there will be plenty of work for the qualified. The vendors will continue to go with the low bidder and get what they pay for. I love it! Pay for crap now and pay me more later.
