Mad/Dog..Have you ever talked to anyone that thought they were getting paid what they were worth? Not many. Let's go back to the 70's..I was splicing for 4.37 an hour + overtime, usually working 65 to 75 hrs. a wk.+ 70.00 a wk. per-diem, I had a company van, free gas, drove it anywhere I wanted, a new 70 Shelby Cobra 350 Mustang, a wife and two kids and plenty of money to spend..gas was .23 a gal., car payment was 68.00 a month..Apartment in San Fran, nice 2 bdrm. furnished, was 79.00 a month..Premo speed was 20.00 a thousand and pot was 3.00 an ounce..my average check was 450.00 a wk., less 130.00 car and apt, left me about 1600.00 a month to screw off..Run your living exp. today and see what ya come up with..Times were definately better then...Plus, we didn't have the BS companies that wouldn't pay..add that into you expences also.
