Re: The best lineman??????????

In '88 I decided I wanted to be a cable contractor. I was 18 and had my prized hot rod Camaro, sold it and baught my first new pickup. I got my first gig in '89 and never looked back. Was soon on the road. Installs, drop swings, trap changeouts. Hit 100 sticks in one day changing traps. Heard splicing was the best money in the biz. Had to work at it hard but finally one day an ole' dawg figured I deserved to learn to splice. Never looked back. It was not all good. Ate a lot of crap along the way, retainage was usually a loss due to greedy contractors that could get away with it back in the day. I know how much dedication and sacrifice it took from me along the way and I have much respect for anyone else that has survived the biz. And that includes all aspects of the trade because it might just be a stepping stone on your way up. I am not ashamed to sign my name either.
