If you are driving a 1 ton Truck like a F350, F450,F550........ No you do not have to stop at weight Sat.'s if they want to know something they will pull you over and ask..... You do need a DOT MEDICAL CARD..... If you are driving Bucket VAN that is under 10,000 so you do not need anything or and have no need for the DOT Medical Card.... and they will not be pulling you over for anything.....
PS: If you are going to drive a lot over states lines you should look in to getting DOT #'s on your truck it's free and you can do it on the web. Make sure you display the #'s on your truck....
