I try to pad mine to 0 depending on input tilt. since your amp is in the he it should be flat inputs. You can bump it a few db and get away with it. As long as your not feeding a bunch more of the amps in cascade. Are you setting up the return? If so you need to do the math and make sure you hit the input with the correct levels on that as well, then pad the output of said amp to hit the cmts correctly. If no return I would turn the gain down all the way.
These are pretty good amps. As long as you have the input s/n (c/n) optimum. If you are using rg11 or 6 to feed throughout building you will need to do the math and be somewhat careful where you put the next amps. You end up with a higher loss and to much tilt can create a problem when trying to pad the input. Ie 14 over 26, you pad it 14 your still at +12 on the low.
