Charter has lost a few smaller systems in the South they built or purchased to local utilities(a growing problem for current providers). Small towns have started to use their own fiber rings to run ftth or hardline and offer cheaper services. Its hard to compete with a power board that always gets it money from nonpays due to turning off their power when they owe for cable...... Watch Comcast lose 50% of their customer base in TN over the next 10 years... City of Chattanooga launches fiber any day now.. People give the cable guy a bad rap wait till the power board tells the irate customer it is what it is, take it or leave it. To stay ahead of the curve customer service will be the new crutch to sell services. Wait till cable companies start to hit the contractors with all kinds of new rules and tighter specs, time frames, etc...
