If you're fired for not signing, then file unemployment, find a new job. You really don't want to work for them anyway. Most companies won't fire you for not signing, but they will put the pressure on for you to sign.
It costs the company MORE to fire you, than to simply slap your hand and tell you to "Don't do that again". Granted, 2nd offence and they got grounds to terminate as you are now showing a documentable pattern. They would have Just-Cause to defend the unemployment fight.
