Steve...True! However; there are the small mom and pop dis-organizations that bully their employees...usually guys from their home town, or someone that they had drive a truck across country for them, and it doesnt seem to work the way you described.
For most of us out here, there isnt the friendly...take the guy aside and show him his inconsistancies...usually the guy opens up his paystub and notices that he just got raped. Trying to question the situation results in your bosses 'arrogance fueled by stupidity' which ends up in the worker walking off the job...and the boss keeps the rest of the money.
