That's why I DON'T have a retailer contract!
My Retailers know up front if they sell a job that drops will be bid direct to CX. Local Bell charges $110 minimum per drop, per floor to retro-fit. I charge $80. I have been known to adjust prices for back-to-back and multi-line drops, but that is on a case-by-case basis...CX attitude and difficulty of wall(s) are the main factors. DNet CXs that know to push the issue must get the retailer to authorise it to me or wait for a 'Company' truck in about 2-3 weeks...I don't care!
BTW, My cheapest was similar to Loco's: CX and his son had pre-wired this monster house with dual to 35 locations and missed the media room...!?! While I did the roof, they pulled that drop and spent the time tracing and tagging all those lines...final was 5 DTV DVRs with back-feed splits to 26 locations! These boys were crazy, but after 10hrs solo it worked. Too bad it was the last job of the day...started at 5pm...
