Re: Alltel Wireless Cards

You can threaten to sue for "product liability" but they will laugh you out of the store. Did it start on fire and burn down your house? There's no liability for anything. You want warranty repair.

Look at it like this. If you bought a TV from Walmart and 4 months later you broke it, would you take it back there and expect them to replace it? Alltel isn't the manufacturer of your card so if you didn't buy their insurance then it's not their problem. You have to deal with the manufacturer of the card.

If it's only four months old then probably it is still under warranty. Do you still have the manual that came with it? That's the first place to go. There should be warranty info there. If you don't have it then google their website and look in the support section for the manual. Most manufacturers have them online now. Worst case, call the support number and talk to their warranty dept.

The Alltel store people should offer the manufacturer info to you as a courtesy, but most salespeople nowadays are clueless and if you went in there with an attitude they're not going to lift a finger to help you now.
It's easy to define what you're willing to fight for; but what are you willing to stand for without fighting? What are you willing to lay down your life for?
