It's a case of Guilt by Association.
The reason it's a scandal is that the Republican platform stance on pregnancy is about as close to Catholic Church doctrine and dogma as you can get.
You're right though.... Can't really control a 17yo daughter ... UNLESS YOU RAISED HER CORRECTLY. And in that lies the dig, or hypocricy to her being a VP candidate. THAT is the story.
No one with any shred of intelligence really gives a shit about some knocked up 17yo. But it does speak to the creditibility of the candidate in their ability to practice in their own home, what they preach to the rest of us.
Republicans and the Catholic Church are the two biggest and loudest about "abstanance" and "Marriage before Sex". Family values and blah, blah, blah.
.........And here we go with a VP candidate dragging down (politically) the Republican Presidental Nominee.
I'm an Indepenant Party person myself (formerly a republican) .... and I'm loving the dog-and-pony show :-)
