Each system is responsable for its own system.
Example: Limbs and trees covering a Power transformer:
The Power Company Trims the limbs and maintains its own system.
Same goes for CATV and Phone
When you get a Sub Price Sheet you need to look for that Pay Code for Tree Trimming. If no pay code then ask if they pay for tree trimming. If not then chances are the MSO does it.
Your Supervisor could be fired for making you trim trees.
I believe you when you say 1.5hrs I have seen some bad sh!t.
I would put the tree trim on your daily pay sheet and turn it in.
Get a contact # to someone that works the field with your MSO and contact them next time this happens. Chances are you can turn it over to the MSO and they could have it ready for you the next day. "this is called networking"
Its always good to get to know your MSO more than your Employer does which sounds like that wouldnt be hard to do. Get involved , become an asset.
