Re: fiber thru coax

Sounds impossible , more than likely if the cable has been abandon then its cut or the shield no longer exist. Or some animal chewed thru it. Also I don't think the cable company would depend on that thin coax shied to protect the fiber. And if you pulled fiber thru it at 600 to 1200 feet I would think that the friction would create holes in the coax at every bend in the cable. I'm not trying to be negative but pulling fiber thru an old coax shield sounds kinda crazy.
