From 1 that has used fod stamps off and on, I am glad they are there. long ago I single parented it, used them, finally got decent work in the cable business, closed the case, went 9 years without them, now i am married to a disabled girl with a 9 year old step daughter. I had double bypass allmost 3 years ago, at age 44, several people told me to sign up on disability, I did not, i will never climb a pole with hooks again, yet I am far from disabled, as a matter of fact i feel so good i took on the responsibility of my girls. i am encircled by a stupid idotic domestic situation that keeps me sidetracked, work goes up and down, yet the basics is the girls need there 3 squares a day. Someday soon we will be back on our feet, and will close the case. Until then, i pay my taxes, do not milk the system in any way, and am not shamed in any way to use them..
