Re: Power supply starting current

I didn't explain the problem enough being in the country power outages are fairly often and of longer duration than in town. The generator handles the load until the standby power supply kicks on and everything drops, the cmts is on a 3000 watt ups with good batterys the florescent lights act weird, the smaller ups on some of the digital stuff flash on and off until I go out and kill that antec power supply.I have to go buy a special magnetic breakers just to keep them on in other locations.Does anybody else power stand by power supplys off a generator at the headend.I guess I will wire the power supply just on the power company and not use the generator.Anybody seen this?Chuck
