Is it Common Practice ?

I went for a scheduled appointment yesterday to have a drug test taken, and also a bit more paperwork to be signed, before I was to start work with this particular company. They were 30 minutes late to begin with since she was having her hair done. Also she gave me a set of keys for a truck that needed she said to be taken to a shop to have its tire replaced. Now this truck smelled bad I tell you. It had trash all through it that they assumed I would be happy to remove and clean just so I could have a job. Anyway, since I wasnt even an employee yet I told her that she needed to have the truck ready to work safely before I got into it. I waited for the manager to get there and asked him why I couldnt use my van as discussed previosly. He said it wasn't White. Its OFF White. I laughed and left. I thought the whole thing turned out to be pretty ridiculas. To go in to a place to expect to just take a drug test and sign some papers and then to be expected to take a truck to get serviced, Oh, on unpaid time ) is very unprofesional. Maybe I was wrong but I dont need a job that bad to put up with this crap before I even start with a company.(nono)
