If you spoke your mind about issues and topics that are outside your scope of work, argued with any supervisory or coaching staff, or failed to follow instructions .... Then yes, you're hosed.
A lot of techs have the perception that they are "Speaking their mind", or "Discussing a topic", when in fact they are being insubordinate, argumentative, and counterproductive to the job at hand.
If you had laid out your disagreement on an issue in a logical rational manner, which was in a calm and open manner .... Then most supervisors will listen and have a discussion and help clearify so everyone understands. BUT .... If you were "speaking your mind" in a hostile, defensive tone ..... BuhBye.
Most leadership teams won't put up with closeminded, argumentative techs who think they are God's gift to cable. Bottom line ... Know your job, and know your role in the structure of things. Anything beyond that ... STFU and sling some cable.
You don't like it?? Then you got two options: Change your vocation or location.
