Go to a NAPA Store and Buy a fuel additive called Sea Foam... and add it to your gas.. I know with the name of SEA Foam you would think it is for Boats.. Well It is.. but it is one of the best water remover,gas stabilizer, bowel cleaner..Injector cleaner on the market.. and if it is a carb motor... because you didn't state the year.. check your choke.. carb motors will blow black smoke and run rougher then a cob with a closed choke.. vacuum leak also.. spray starter fluid around the base of the carb & hoses if engine knocks it's a vacuum leak, I am just an old shade tree mechanic
