Sorry man, but EVERY southerner I've ever encountered has ended up with the same bias and hatred of northerners. I can honestly swear that is the truth. Southerners REAL feelings are always hidden, even amongst each other. I've lived there, worked there, etc. and the deep seeded hatred southerners have for Yankees is REAL, still alive and thriving. I've been friends with people for 5 years....NEIGHBORS even who eventually show their true colors or hatred of Yankees. The sad **** is my family wasn't even in this country until 50 years after the "war of northern agression". And just because they decided to settle north of that funny little line that goes through Maryland, southerners see fit to take every opportunity to classify ME as a Yankee without getting to know me. So the sad part my friend is that I've not been the one harboring feelings for 143 years, I've just been the one to RESPOND to the way I've been treated. That's the GOD's honest truth.
