I agree with lazarustq learn to splice and activate correctly. Don't be a HACK! Maybe even learn some thing about construction end of it too. If you understand how it's built, it helps with splicing and activation. Then after you know how to put it together correctly and turn it on then think about sweeping. Most if not all sweep contractors are required to trouble shoot and fix the problems they find. This usually requires re-splicing some type of line gear, replacing damaged cable, and connectors. That is if your going to do sweep and not just take pictures. Too many picture takers and hacks out there.
