I remember those days too. We used to get paid 3.00 per VCR to hook them up for the subscriber.
We got several memos from the MSO that the VCR code was obviously being abused since EVERY outlet seemed to support one, meaning if they had 5 active outlets on an install, they would invariably get billed for 5 VCR loop thru codes also.
The MSO then reduced payout of that code to 1.00 per VCR loop thru. The billing continued to be falsified so then the code simply went away.
15 years later, we used to get paid additional for pre-wired or post-wired AO's on Digital phone connections. The same scene played out again.
I hate that we lose legitimate billing items because people lie, cheat and steal in the field.
I'm sure this post will be wildly popular, but the truth is the truth.
