if he installs and runs ad-aware first before removing norton he should be fine....doubt he'll be able to download avast untill nortin is gone
one thing I love about avast is that it will do a boot scan!
I am experimenting with node 32 to see how I like it
thinking a big fat no cuz comp. locked up bringing up EI7 this morning
ran better after a scan with ad aware and running node 32 but all that was picked up was around 30 cookies ....node picked up NOTHING at all....runing ok now
