Re: modems dropping

I am am not in your field nor do I have the expertise to really comment; as I do have some knowledge of coax and data only.
could it be caused by a power surge? any grounding issues?
I have heard of issues like this in the past but not sure what the end solution ended up being
to me an my limited knowledge it sounds like a surge/ instability of some sort?
could there be a short in the line supplying the power?
are the homes supplied grounded or themselves causing a power surge?
