You can always argue the fact they they think you lost and not them or was stolen
is it a company truck with strong locks in the back? If there's no locks they should have provided them.
Do you get a converter sheet everyday and sign for it?
Does someone collect each and every single box the next morning to put them back in inventory?
If it's a company truck, do you have the only set of keys for it?

I would start with those first then remind then give them a big F-U since you are an employee.

If you work in an office and you break you chair or desk or computer, do you have to pay for it, of course not, whay should this be any differant.
