I wouldnt think you would have to have digital to have a decent picture to all machines. I think that would be acheivable with analog, as long as your plant is in good shape. I know the TV's on the workout machines can't be that big. I have been in many of nursing homes with a amp feeding 3 legs with a bunch of 8 port taps off of it and the picture looked very good on analog. I would go that route. Again that is if the source is good.
